All gifts to Positive Lives Tasmania of $2.00 are now Tax deductible as we have be provided approval to be a Gift Deductible Recipient through the ATO. We have two categories of donation - those that go in full to assist PLWHIV through our Financial Assistance Program (these have no administrative fees), and those directly provided to meet our set up and running costs. We are so grateful for the donations already received and thank you all for your support.
Constitutional Changes
The Special General Meeting today updated the constitution to allow Victorian PLWHIV to be Full Members of PLT, clarified eligibility for Full Membership and increased the number of positions on the Board. Also of importance is the change to include a clause addressing Deductible Gift recipient issues.
Charitable Approval
We are so pleased to be recognised as a Public Benevolent Institution and have approved charitable status. This makes our work much more effective as we provide services across all the regional areas of Tasmania. We are very proud to be able to direct all our online donations directly into assistance to members in need.
